According to ILP there are about 125M victims of child labor globally.
The #SustainableDevelopmentGoals, has renewed its commitment to eliminating all forms of child labour by 2030.

Children’s day- June 1, 2019
June 1 is a day where many countries worldwide unite with the purpose to help children solve their problems, support them in self-development and to encourage them to live a ‘full life’.
It is also a day to have fun!
Our learners at the CLC Baalbek were having fun all over the past week to celebrate Children’s day and increase awareness towards care and education for children. Thank you Al Madad foundation for the continued partnership.
National beach clean up day- 2019
Volunteers of Ana Aqra came together to clean up Lebanon’s beaches as part of the National Beach Cleanup Campaign 2019 launched by the environment ministry to raise awareness and help preserve our Mediterranean sea.
World Parents’ Day- June 1, 2019

In honor of World Parents’ Day today, Ana Aqra started its early celebrations with students and their parents spending a school day together.
Parents were invited to spend a school day with their children at the center where they attended the circle time in class in which Ms. wafa and Ana Aqra’s teachers highlighted the role of parents in their children’s lives and the importance of their engagement in all aspects.
During the session one parent mentioned: “The Ana Aqra center provided us with the opportunity to attend parents’ meetings in a welcoming environment. The program raised my awareness on the possibility to be part of the learning and teaching process which helped me in supporting better my child”.
QTL Gathering- 2019
Ana Aqra launches the Quality Teaching and Learning (QTL) handbook, a comprehensive tool for educators and school administrators which identifies and explains effective teaching and learning practice with positive effects on student and teacher performance. The QTL handbook was developed collaboratively by representatives of MEHE, CERD, LU’s Faculty of Pedagogy, Ana Aqra and Caritas Switzerland together with technical guidance from the University of
Teachers Education PH Zug, Switzerland.
National Reading Week- 2019
“National Reading Week” was recognized by Ana Aqra with reading activities and celebrations in public schools. This year activities included inviting public figures to visit public schools to read stories and celebrate this day with children . During this week, volunteers and friends of the association initiated activities to encourage and engage learners to interact with each other and create activities related to their books.
The association’s longstanding program’s purpose is to activate classroom libraries during the scholastic year.
