Ana Aqra Association is committed to excellence and growth, and our international partnerships require tangible and documented evidence of such. Therefore, we have adopted monitoring and evaluation practices to show we are meeting our pledged goals of helping displaced and underprivileged youth in Lebanon reach their full potential.
Monitoring is the systematic and routine collection of information from projects and programs. Ana Aqra Association conducts literacy based assessments regularly for students upon entering an intervention session and again at the end of the session and results are documented. These assessments and follow up ensure that we are achieving the desired growth and that no child is left behind.
Evaluation is assessing, as systematically and objectively as possible, a completed project or program. In addition to self-evaluation at Ana Aqra Association, external evaluators have been hired to track our progress from a different perspective.
Two external evaluations were completed on our summer reading projects in 2012 by Mr. Nizar Ghanem and in 2013 by Mr. Mahmoud Natout. These extensive qualitative reports can be reviewed below.
