Ana Aqra Association provided public schools with wooden bookshelves and a total of 40 to 60 books per classroom in Arabic, English and French. A specialized librarian trained the school language teachers on how to make use of these books in their classrooms.

Ana Aqra Association arranged for regular volunteer visits to the public schools to ensure proper and uninterrupted usage of the donated books. Volunteers who were trained by Ana Aqra Association visited classrooms to read stories to the students, carry out activities and build a relationship between the students and the class libraries.

Ana Aqra Association contributed to raising literacy awareness by holding seminars and presentations pertaining to literacy and children’s literature reviews.
