Ana Aqra Association celebrated this week with various reading and writing projects and activities in public schools. Famous authors and personalities were brought into the public schools to read to students and the author’s books were donated to the class libraries.

Ana Aqra Association arranged transportation for students from participating public schools to visit the annual exhibition. The students enjoyed reading corners, planned activities and were given free meals and books to take home.

Ana Aqra Association held an annual competition for students in grades five and six from select public schools. Students were encouraged and coached to write short stories in Arabic and the winners received scholarship prizes and recognition at the annual UNESCO celebration.
